Key Art Awards Finalists
FIDM is proud to congratulate our two finalists for the Key Art Student Scholarship Award.
Considered the "Oscars©" for the movie marketing community,
The Hollywood Reporter Key Art Awards is the only international competition
honoring individuals responsible for the design and creation of motion picture
marketing materials including posters, trailers, television spots, theatrical
trailers and lobby standees representing campaigns in print, on screen, outdoors
and online.
Last year, the Awards committee introduced the Key Art Awards Student Scholarship Competition in recognition of the best student poster and best student trailer. This year, those categories generated over 300 submissions-- more than twice as many as last year -- from 91 college and design schools in California and New York. Six winners will be selected from among twelve finalists. All student entries were based on the 2002 Golden Globe best picture winners, "A Beautiful Mind" (drama) and "Moulin Rouge" (comedy/musical)
"A Beautiful Mind" Producer Brian Grazer is confirmed as the presenter to the students plus, schedules permitting, the directors Ron Howard and/or Baz Luhrmann. The Awards to announce the final 6 winners are on Friday, June 20th at the newly renovated Scottish Rite International Center in Los Angeles.
