When Sylvia Kahn graduated from FIDM in 1980 with a degree in Merchandise Marketing the internet was still in its infancy. Who would have guessed that she would one day be using her marketing skills on the internet, bringing large clients to the web.Sylvia has combined technology with her marketing skills bringing individuals and companies online. She is responsible for refreshing existing presences, and solidifying images across all marketing and messages.

advertising agencies before deciding to focus on commercial production. She
landed a job with Johns & Gorman, a Los Angeles-based T.V. commercial production
company and within 5 years was promoted to executive producer. Sylvia was
responsible for the development of many classic campaigns such as the 'Isuzu
Liar' and American Express with Jerry Seinfeld. She has also been honored
with every major advertising award including Clios, Cannes, and DA&D.

was made to enter the internet industry. Sylvia launched Johns & Gorman Film's
interactive division with her first assignments being to bring Swatch and
Sony Theaters to the web. With the knowledge she gained at FIDM and her extensive
experience in packaging projects, Sylvia brought a solid background of corporate
image-making to the internet. Sylvia developed Producer's Source as the divisions
cornerstone, bringing one of the world's top commercial production companies
into the realm of digital content creation. Producer's Source offers direct

Click to view web pages While at FIDM Syliva says she learned a lesson
that has helped her expand her horizons and achieve great success. 'FIDM taught
me to think outside of the 'box'.' Her advice to others is to break out of
what you know as a designer, step out of your comfort zone and design from
perspectives that seem outrageous or even silly. Don't settle for what you
already know because that leads to mediocrity.
Sylvia's career has now come full circle with the convergence of technology, marketing and entertainment. Her future plans will take her to higher levels, and with her experience and the growth of the web, her avenues seem endless.
