Whitney Smith (Left)At age of five, Whitney Smith knew that she would become an artist. Her intuitions were indeed correct, and she entered FIDM directly from high school. Whitney's portfolio won her the Mary Rose Cinema Research Scholarship. Her goals include a career in fashion and costume design for film. |

Bonnie Hill (Right)As a child, Bonnie Hill began her fashion career designing costumes for her glamorous paper dolls. She studied illustration at California State University, Fullerton prior to entering FIDM. Bonnie plans to enter the world of designing for the entertainment industry, including film, TV, and stage. |

Francis E. Ocon (Below)Upon graduation, Francis E. Ocon plans to open a boutique designing one-of-a-kind ensembles and ready-to-wear. Early on, Francis was recognized as an unusually talented young man when he won two prestigious scholarships in high school. The tradition continued when Francis received the Alex Roldan Scholarship to further develop his talents. |

Shannon Pomfret (Above)Shannon Pomfret believes that her creativity blossomed when her first design made it to her bedroom wall. She particularly loves designing 17th and 19th century costumes. Shannon has served as assistant costumer for an L.A. theatre production and hopes to continue working in theatre. She also plans to add fashion for film to her career pursuits. |

Kara McLeod (Left)Kara McLeod came to FIDM with a broad background in theatre production, from hanging lights and wardrobing to designing make-up for the South Coast Repertory Theatre, the Irvine Civic Light Opera, and many more. With many accomplishments behind her, Kara decided to study at FIDM, adding Fashion Design and Theatre Costume Design to her repertoire. |
