Applicants who have extensive work experience in apparel manufacturing management or who have a college degree in a related area are not required to do this project. For applicants who are new to apparel manufacturing management concepts, please complete the project below. If in doubt, consult your Admissions Advisor.

Create a new fashion line for a particular type of customer

Imagine you are an entrepreneur who has set out to develop a new line of clothing. First, create a company name and then determine the type of apparel that you would develop.

Choose a category from below and select one of the choices within the category [A,B,C]. Describe this line and identify the customer who would buy your line. You may do this through illustrations, photographs or magazine clippings. Include such thing as age, income, education, and lifestyle (jobs, leisure activities, family life). This should be a word and a picture essay.
