Career Connections 2007
With the best alumni turnout ever, FIDM’s 15th Annual Career Connections was the most successful one yet. Over 100 FIDM Alumni returned to campus to share with current FIDM Students how they’ve become successful in their industries. Current FIDM Students welcome the opportunity to hear of the Grads’ accomplishments in the workforce, learn how it was done, and network with them for future internships and jobs.
Among the Grads who attended the Alumni Breakfast and stayed for the speed-networking event were:
• Costumer for So You Think You Can Dance, Suzy Magnin
• Buyer for Rampage, Esther Kang
• Product Developer for 7 For All Mankind, Brianna Duran
• PR/Marketing Director for Intuition, Jill Paget
• Footwear Designers for Charles David Footwear, Amarjit Khalsa and Kimberly Zisler
• Graphic Designer for the film The Perfect Game, Megan Romero
• District Visual Manager for Tilly’s, Lisa Nowakowski
• Director of PR & Marketing for Erica Courtney Jewelry, Naomi Brown
• Vice President of J’aime Designs, Jenny Pyle (J’aime Designs is headed by My Name Is Earl co-star Jaime Pressly)
Networkers were able to connect with several different Alumni in various areas of interest and learn more about how different aspects of the industry work first-hand. Career Connections is held every year and continues to be one of FIDM’s most popular events.
