What's worn to Homecoming is a little different at each school. Some schools go all out and wear Prom-dress-like formals, while other schools wear less-formal short dresses. And what is worn can even vary from year to year -- at an individual school, some years are very dressed-up, while other years are not so dressy! What I recommend is asking the girls at school (as many as you can) what they're thinking of wearing to the Homecoming dance. This way you'll get some idea of what's in the air. Even if no one's sure yet, the discussion will help everyone define what she's in the mood for, dress-wise, and come to some conclusions. This discussion of Homecoming attire can even be a great conversation starter with girls you don't know very well. It's something everybody worries about. Most of us love to talk about fashion!
