The Hollywood Reporter names FIDM one of “The Top 10 Costume Design Schools in the U.S.”

The insider-entertainment industry magazine noted that, “With its proximity to Hollywood, (FIDM) benefits by guest-speaker visits from such names as Ellen Mirojnick (Bridgerton), Mark Bridges (News of the World), and FIDM grad Trish Summerville (Mank). Students are also exposed to the best in design through the school’s annual Art of Costume Design in Film and The Art of Television Costume Design exhibitions.”

The ranking is based on factors such as admission data, graduation success, reputation, and extensive proprietary survey conducted with school and industry stakeholders.

The ranking site gives our teaching five stars and writes, “There are 33 schools offering respective programs in California, and the best one is offered by Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising Los Angeles.”

The ranking site calls FIDM “one of the finest schools in the country for getting an associate degree in fashion design and a “wonderful option” for students who plan to study Fashion Design.

The site writes that FIDM “provides its students with a deep understanding of sustainable fashion and design across multiple departments.”
